٣٩٢٤ - الإمام الحافظ أبو حاتم محمد بن إدريس بن المنذر بن داود بن مهران الحنظلي الرّازي الشافعي (١)، أحد الأئمة الأثبات، المتوفى في شعبان سنة سبع وسبعين ومائتين وله اثنتان وثمانون سنة. سمع أبا نُعيم والأصمعي وخلقًا بالكوفة والبصرة وبغداد ودمشق ومصر وغيرها، ورحل زمانًا وهو ابن عشرين سنة وحدّث عنه من شيوخه الصغار يونس بن عبد الأعلى والربيع بن سليمان. قال أحمد بن سلمة الحافظ: ما رأيت بعد إسحق بن راهويه أحفظ من أبي حاتم للحديث ولا أعلم بمعانيه، وقال يونس بن عبد الأعلى: أبو زرعة وأبو حاتم إماما خراسان وفضائله ومناقبه وورعه مشهور. ذكره السبكي.
