٣٨٧٣ - الشيخ شمس الدين محمد بن أحمد بن محمد بن سليمان بن بطّال الرّكني اليماني النحوي (٥)، المتوفى بها سنة بضع وثلاثين وستمائة.قال الخزرجي: قرأ النحو والقراءات [واللغة] والفقه والحديث باليمن، ثم ارتحل إلى مكة فازداد بها علمًا ولزم ابن أبي الصيف، [الفقيه] اليمني، ثم عاد إلى بلده وبنى مدرسة، فقصده الطلبة. صنف "المستعذَب في شرح غريب المهذب" و"أربعين في لفظ الأربعين" و"أربعين في أذكار المساء والصباح" وله أشعار حسنة. ذكره [السيوطي] في "النحاة".
