٣٧٩٢ - الشيخ أبو منصور محمد بن أحمد بن الأزهر بن طلحة بن نوح الأزهري اللغوي الهَرَوي الأديب الشافعي (٤)، المتوفى في ربيع الآخر سنة سبعين وثلاثمائة، عن ثمان وستين [سنة]. أخذ عن الرَّبيع بن سليمان ونِفْطَوَيه وابن السرَّاج، وورد بغداد وأَسَرَتْهُ القرامطة، فبقي فيهم دهرًا طويلًا. وكان رأسًا في اللغة، أخذ عنه الهَرَوي. وله من التصانيف "التهذيب" في اللغة، و"تفسير ألفاظ مختصر المزني" و"التقريب في التفسير" و"شرح شعر أبي تَمَّام" و"الإرادات" وغير ذلك (٥). وكان عالي الإسناد في الحديث ثخين الوَرَع. ذكره السيوطي في "النحاة".
