٣٧٧٤ - الشيخ شمس الدين محمد بن أبي الفتح بن الفضل البعلي الحنبلي الفقيه النحوي (٥)، المتوفى بالقاهرة في محرم سنة تسع وسبعمائة، عن أربع وستين سنة. قرأ النحو على ابن مالك وبَرَعَ فيه ولازمه، وتخرَّج به جماعة وأتقن وسمع من ابن عبد الدائم وجماعة. أخذ عنه التقي السُّبكي، وصنَّف شرحًا على "الألفية" وشرحًا على "الجرجانية" (٦) كبيرا و"المطلع على أبواب المقنع" (٧) وابتدأ بشرح "الرِّعاية" لابن حمدان فيالفقه، وجمع جزءًا في ليلة القدر. وكان إمام الحنابلة بدمشق ومدرّس الصّدرية، فاضلًا كثير المحاسن. ذكره السيوطي وابن الملقّن.
