٣٦٣٦ - مقدم الحكماء كَنْكَه الهندي المنجّم (٢)، قال أبو معشر: هو مقدّم في علم النجوم عند جميع علماء الهند في السّلف ولم يبلغنا تحديد عصره ولا شيء من أخباره، غير ما ذكر. ومن تصانيفه "النموذار في الأعمار" و"كتاب أسرار المواليد" و"كتاب القرانات الكبير" و"كتاب القرانات الصغير". وفي "عيون الأنباء": حكيم بارع من مقدّمي حكماء الهند، وله نظر في الطب وقوى الأدوية وطبائع المولدات وخواص الموجودات، وكان من أعلم الناس بهيئة العالم وتركيب الأفلاك وحركات النجوم، وله كتاب في الطب كالكناش، وكتاب في التوهم في أحداث العالم والدور في القرآن. انتهى
