    ٢٥٣٩ - الإمام الحافظ أبو محمد عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن إدريس، المعروف بابن أبي حاتم الرازي الحنظلي الشافعي (١)، المتوفى في محرم سنة سبع وعشرين وثلاثمائة، عن اثنتين وثمانين سنة. أخذ عن أبيه وأبي زرعة الرازي ورحل مع أبيه، ثم حج وهو ابن خمسة عشر ودخل مصر والشام فأدرك الأسانيد العالية، ثم رحل إلى أصبهان وصنَّف "التفسير" و"الردّ على الجهمية" وكتاب "الجرح والتعديل" و"مناقب الشافعي" وغير ذلك. وكان ثقة، حافظًا، زاهدًا، بحرًا في علم الرجال. ذكره السبكي وغيره.
