٢٤٥٥ - عبد الجبَّار بن نعمان السمرقندي المعتزلي الحنفي (١)، المتوفى سنة ثمان وثمانمائة وله ..... وهو أحد خواص تيمور الذين طافوا البلاد معه وكان أبوه أعلم أهل سمرقند في عصره ويقال له نعمان الثاني. له تلامذة في الفروع بما وراء النهر وكان عبد الجبار ذكيًا، فاضلًا، معظّمًا عند الملوك، طالع "شرح الهداية" للأكمل وعلّم على مواضع منه وذكر أنها غلط. وله مهارة في الفقه والعلوم العقلية. وكان يمتحن العلماء ويناظرهم عند صاحبه.
