٢١٩١ - أبو الفضل عباس بن الفرج الرِياشي اللُّغوي النحوي (٢)، المتوفى قتيلاً بالبصرة سنة سبع وخمسين ومائتين. قرأ على المازني النحو وقرأ عليه المازني اللغة وكان عالماً باللغة والشعر، كثير الرواية عن الأصمعي وأخذ عنه المُبَرِّد وابن دُريد وصنّف "الخيل" و"الإبل" وغير ذلك. قتله الزّنْج بالبصرة وكان قائماً يصلي الضحى في مسجده. وثقه الخطيب. ورياش: رجل من جذام، كان أبوه عبداً له فنسب إليه. ذكره السيوطي.
