٢١٨٩ - عباس بن عبد المطلب [أبو الفضل (٧)، وأمه نثيلة بنت حيان، يقال إنها أول عربية كست البيت بالديباج لأن العباس ضل وهو صبي فنذرت إن وجدته فلما وجدت فعلت. وكان أسن من النبي ﵇ بسنتين وقيل بثلاث سنين، وكان قد ولي السقاية وعمارة المسجد الحرام بعد أخيه أبي طالب، وكان بمكة مع المشركين وهو مؤمن يكتم إيمانه، وأخذ لرسولالله البيعة على أهل العقبة من الأنصار، وأظهر إسلامه يوم فتح مكة، وقيل أسلم يوم بدر فأستقبل النبي ﵇ يوم الفتح ... ]
