    ٢١٣٩ - طومانباي [الجركسي، الملك الأشرف (١)، وهو ابن أخي قانصو الغوري واستعد للقتال بعد موت قانصو الغوري. ولما توجه السلطان سليم إلى مصر وقرب منها قابله الملك الأشرف بالعساكر المصرية فقاتله قتالا شديدا وقتل في الحرب سنان باشا ثم انهزم طومانباي أقبح هزيمة وقتل غالب عسكره وهرب هو حتى عدى النيل إلى طرف بلاد السودان فبعث السلطان سليم إلى مشايخ العربان بمسكه ووعدهم على ذلك بأشياء حتى ظفر به ابن عمر أمير الصعيد فأتى به إلى السلطان فأمر به فصلب على باب زويلة وبه انقطعت الجراكسة فكانت مدة ملكهم ١٣٢ سنة، انتهى نقلا من "تاريخ الجنابي" و"أخبار الدول" وغيره].
