٢٠٠٢ - أبو الطَّيب سهل بن محمد بن سليمان بن محمد بن موسى بن عيسى بن إبراهيم العِجْلي الصُّعلُوكي، الفقيه الأديب الشافعي، مفتي نيسابور (٥)، المتوفى سنة أربع وأربعمائة عن ... سمع أباه الأستاذ أبا سهل وبه تفقه وعنده تخرج، وسمع أبا عمرو بن نجيد، ولما مات أبوه سنة ٣٦٩ اجتمع إليه الخلق وتصدر الفتوى والقضاء والتدريس، فحدث وأملى. قال الشيخ أبو إسحق: كان فقيهاً أديباً جمع رياسة الدين والدنيا وأخذ عنه فقهاء نيسابور وبعضهم جعله من المجددين على رأس الأربعمائة.
