١٩٩٧ - الإمام أبو الفتح سهل بن أحمد بن علي بن الحاكم الأَرْغِيَاني الشافعي (٥)، المتوفى في محرم سنة تسع وتسعين وأربعمائة، عن ثلاث وسبعين سنة. قال السمعاني: تفقّه على القاضي حسين بمرو الرّوذ وأقام عنده حتى حصَّل طريقته، وقرأ على شَهْفُور (٦) بطُوس وعلى إمام الحرمين بنيسابور وولي القضاء بأرغيان، ثم حجّ وانزوى واشتغل بالعبادة. سمع بنيسابور أبا عثمان الصّابوني، وكان فاضلاً، حسن السيرة. له فتاوى. ذكره السبكي.
