١٩٦٣ - الشيخ رضي الدين أبو داود سليمان بن مُظَفَّر بن غانم بن عبد الكريم الجيلي الشافعي (٣)، المتوفى ببغداد في ربيع الأول سنة إحدى وثلاثين وستمائة، وكان ينيف على ستين سنة. فكان من أكابر فضلاء عصره وصنَّف كتاباً في الفقه يدخل في خمسة عشر مجلداً، وعرضت عليه المناصب فلم يفعل. ذكره ابن خلكان في ترجمة ابن يونس أحمد. وقال السبكي: كان متديّناً، عفيفاً، ملازماً لبيته، حافظاً لأوقاته، درَّس في النظامية ببغداد.
