١٩٥٩ - أبو الحسين سليمان بن محمد بن عبد الله [السَّبَائي]، المعروف بابن الطَّراوة المالقي (٤)، المتوفى في رمضان سنة ثمان وعشرين وخمسمائة، عن سنٍّ عالية. كان نحويًا أديبًا. سمع على الأعلم "كتاب سيبويه" وروى عن أبي الوليد الباجي وغيره وعنه السُّهَيلي والقاضي عياض. وله آراء في النحو تفرَّد بها، فمنهم من أفرط في الثناء عليه، كابن سمحون ومنهم من أفرط في الحطّ عليه، كابن خروف. صنَّف "الترشيح في النحو" [وهو مختصر و"المقدّمات" على كتاب سيبويه] و"مقالة في الاسم والمسمى". ذكره السيوطي.
