١٩٢٣ - القاضي صدر الدين أبو الربيع سليمان بن أبي العزّ بن وهيب بن عطاء بن جُبير بن جابر القاهري الحنفي (١)، المتوفى بدمشق في شعبان سنة سبع وسبعين وستمائة وله اثنتان وثمانون سنة. تفقَّه ومَهَرَ بالشيخ جمال الدين الحصيري وغيره وبَرَعَ في الفقه وأفتى وصنَّف "كتاب الوجيز الجامع لمسائل الجامع". وسمع الحديث وأسمع ودرَّس بالصالحية وولي قضاء الحنفية بمصر. وهو أول من ولي من الحنفية باقي دولة الظّاهر بيبرس وصار شيخ الحنفية في زمانه وانتهت إليه رياسة المذهب. وكانت له المنزلة العلية عنده وحجَّ معه، ثم اختار المقام بدمشق وولي قضاءها.
