١٩٢٠ - الشيخ الإمام أبو الفتح سليم بن أيوب بن سليم الرَّازي الشافعي (٤)، المتوفى غريقًا في بحر القُلْزُم بساحل جدَّة، في صفر سنة سبع وأربعين وأربعمائة، وقد نيَّف على الثمانين. اشتغل بالتفسير والنحو واللغة، ثم سافر إلى بغداد، فتفقّه بها على أبي حامد [الإسفرايني]، حتى بَرَعَ في المذهب وصار إمامًا وعلق عن الشيخ أبي حامد "التعليقة" (٥) ثم درَّس مكانه، ثم سافر إلى الشام وأقام بصور مرابطًا. سمع ابن فارس وخلقًا. روى عنه الخطيب ونصر المقدسي وكان ورعًا وصنَّف "ضياء القلوب" في التفسير و"التغريب" في الفقه و"المجرد" و"الإشارة". حج وعاد في البحر فغرق. ذكره السبكي.
