    ٩١٦٥- الوليد بن زفر المزنيّ «٤» . ذكره ابن شاهين، وأخرج من طريق هشام بن الكلبي، عن رجل من جهينة، عن رجل من بني مرة بن عوف، قال: وفد على النبي ﵌ الوليد بن زفر فعقد له، فأتته امرأته فبكت، فنهض ابن عم له يقال له سارية بن أوفى، فأخذ نحو النبي ﵌، فدعا بصعدة فعقد له، ثم سار إلى بني مرة فعرض عليهم الإسلام فأبطئوا عنه، فوضع فيهم السيف، فلما أسرف في القتل أسلموا وأسلم من حولهم من قيس، ثم سار إلى النبي ﵌ في ألف فارس.
