١٨٣١ - المولى الفاضل سراج الدين بن سعد الدين التَّوقيعي (٥)، المتوفى سنة ست وثمانين وثمانمائة. قرأ على علماء عصره، ثم وصل إلى خدمة المولى خواجه زاده ودرّس بالصحن، ثم صار قاضيًا بأدرنة، ثم جعله السلطان محمد خان موقعًا بالديوان سنة ٨٨١ بعد الوزير القَراماني لمهارته في الإنشاء. وكان حافظًا لكل ما قرأ أو طالع، متفردًا في حفظ قصائد العرب. سأل السلطان المذكور المولى ابن مغنيسا عن قصيدة فتردد ثم سأله عن تلك فقرأ سباقها وسياقها فعزله [والضمير هنا عائد إلى ابن مغنيسا] عن قضاء العسكر لذلك. وله "أجوبة عن أسئلة علاء الدين الرومي". من "الشقائق"
