١٦٩٢ - داود بن يوسف بن عمر [بن علي] بن رسول، [صاحب اليمن، السلطان الملك المؤيد (٣)، المتوفى سنة ٧٢١. كان شجاعاً جواداً، له مآثر، منها المدرسة المؤيدية في تعز. وكان أديباً مشاركاً في العلوم محباً لأهلها وجمع مكتبة نفيسة اشتملت على مئة ألف مجلد وتوفي في قصر الشحرة ودفن في تعز].
