١٦٣٧ - الشيخ الإمام الفقيه خَلَف بن أَيوب الحنفي (٣)، المتوفى باختلاف من سنة خمس ومائتين إلى سنة عشرين ومائتين. كان من أصحاب محمد وزُفَر، وتفقّه على أبي يوسف والحسن بن زياد، وأخذ الزّهد عن إبراهيم بن أدهم وصحبه مدة، وسمع الحديث من جرير بن عبد الحميد وغيره وحدَّث. وروى عنه مشايخ نيسابور وغيرهم وله مسائل، منها: "مسألة الصدقة على السائل في المسجد" قال: لا أقبل شهادة من تصدق عليه. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" والمِزِّي في "الكمال". قال الحاكم: قدم نيسابور في سنة ٢٠٣ فكتب عنه مشايخنا ولما مات صلى عليه أسد بن نوح وشهد جنازته راجلاً. ذكره تقي الدين.
