١٥١٧ - الشيخ الإمام محيي السنَّة أبو محمد حسين بن مسعود بن محمد الفَراء البَغَوي الشافعي (٥)، المتوفى سنة ست عشرة وخمسمائة عن [ثمانين عاماً] (٦). تفقه على القاضي الحسين وكان إماماً جليلاً جامعاً بين العلم والعمل، سالكاً طريقة السَّلَف وكان يأكل الخبز وحده، فعدل فصار يأكله بالزيت. وصنَّف كتباً مثل "معالم التنزيل في التفسير" و"المصابيح" و"شرح السُّنَّة".
