١٤٧١ - الشيخ الرئيس أبو علي حسين بن عبد الله بن حسين بن علي بن سينا، البُخَاري الحكيم المشهور (٣)، المتوفى بهمَدَان في سنة ثمان وعشرين وأربعمائة. وكان أبوه من بلخ وانتقل إلى بخارى وتولى العمل بقرية منها وولد الرئيس وأخوه بها ثم انتقلوا إلى بخارى وتنقّل الرئيس بعد ذلك في البلاد وحصَّل الفنون وكان نادرة عصره في ذكائه. صنَّف كتاب "الشفاء" و"النجاة" و"الإشارات" في الحكمة و"القانون" في الطب ومن الرسائل البديعة الفائقة ينيف على خمسين رسالة في فنون متعددة وله شعر كثير منه "القصيدة العينية" الطَنَّانة. وخَدَمَ علاء الدين بن كاكويه وعلت درجته عنده والناس في اعتقاده فرقتان له وعليه (٤).
