١٤٢٩ - أبو علي حسن بن معالي بن مسعود بن الحسين ابن البَاقِلاَّني الحِلِّي النحوي (٤)، المتوفى بدمشق في ذي الحجّة سنة ست وخمسين وستمائة، عن ثمان وثمانين سنة. قال القفطي: قدم بغداد في صباه وقرأ النحو على أبي البقاء العُكْبَري واللغة على ابن المأمون والفقه على الدامغاني الحنفي والحكمة والكلام على النَّصير الطوسي وبَرَعَ في هذه العلوم وسمع الحديث من أبي الفرج بن كليب وجماعة وانتهت إليه الرئاسة في علم النحو وله فهم ثاقب وذكاء تشفّع بأخرة (٥).
