١١٨٣ - العارف بالله أبو الفيض ثَوبَان بن إبراهيم وقيل الفيض، المعروف بذي النون المصري الإخميمي (٣)، المتوفى بالقاهرة سنة خمس وأربعين ومائتين، عن نحو ثمانين سنة ودفن بالقَرَافة. كان أبوه نوبيَّاً وكان هو رجلاً نحيفاً تعلوه حمرة وكان أحد رجال الطريقة، أوحد وقته علماً وعملاً وحالاً وهو معدود ممن روى "الموطأ" عن مالك. وكان قد سعوا به إلى المتوكل فاستحضره من مصر، فلما دخل عليه وعظه فبكى المتوكل وردَّه مكرماً. ذكره ابن خلِّكان.
