١١٦٥ - أبو القاسم ثابت بن حزم بن عبد الرحمن العوفي السَّرَقُسْطي المالكي (٣)، المتوفى بها في رمضان سنة ثلاث عشرة وثلاثمائة وهو ابن خمس وتسعين. سمع من ابن وضاح والخُشَني وغيرهما وسمع بمكة من ابن الجارود وبمصر من البزَّار. وكان عالماً متقناً، في الحديث والفقه والنحو والغريب والشعر. صنّف كتاب "الدلائل في شرح ما أغفل أبو عبيد وابن قتيبة من غريب الحديث" وكان الذي ابتدأه ابنه قاسم فمات قبل إكماله فتممه أبوه. ذكره ابن فرحون.
