١١٥٨ - أبو يحيى تميم بن المُعزّ بن باديس بن المنصور الحِمْيَري الصِّنْهَاجي (٦)، ملك أفريقيا المتوفى في منتصف رجب سنة إحدى وخمسمائة عن تسع وسبعين سنة. فوض إليه أبوه ولاية المهدية سنة ٤٤٥ ولم يزل بها إلى [أن] توفي أبوه سنة ٤٥٥ واستبد بالملك وكان حسن السيرة محباً للعلماء، فقصدته الشعراء من الآفاق وله أشعار حسنة. ذكرهابن خلكان. وملك وخلف من البنين أكثر من مائة ومن البنات ستين، على ما ذكره حفيده أبو محمد عبد العزيز بن شداد في "أخبار القيروان".
