١١٤٢ - الملك المُظَفَّر بيبرس العُثْمَاني التُّركي (٢)، سلطان مصر، المتوفى في ذي القعدة سنة تسع وسبعمائة. كان أشقر اللون، مستدير اللحية، موصوفاً بالعقل والعِفَّة وكان من مماليك قلاوون وترقى إلى أن صار له جاشنكيراً وحج بالناس سنة ٧٠١. قلع المسمار الذي في وسط الكعبة والحلقة المعروفتين بسرة الدنيا والعروة الوثقى وله في واقعة شقحب اليد البيضاء. تسلطن بعد الناصر في شوال سنة ٧٠٨ وجدد الجامع الحاكمي بعد الزلزلة وله الخانقاه المشهورة بباب النصر أنشأها سنة ٧٠٧. ذكره ابن حجر في "الدرر".
