٩٢٤ - الظافر بالله أبو منصور إسمعيل بن عبد المجيد بن محمد بن معد العبيدي الفاطمي (١)، (١٠٠/ أ- ب) التاسع منهم بمصر المتوفى بها قتيلًا في سلخ المحرم سنة تسع وأربعين وخمسمائة، وله اثنتان وعشرون سنة. بويع بعد موت أبيه سنة أربع وأربعين وخمسمائة وكانت خلافته أربع سنين وتولى بعده ولده الفائز. وكان من أحسن الناس صورة، عاقلًا عارفًا، له الجامع المعروف بجامع الفاكهاني في داخل مصر وكانت أيامه مضطربة لحداثة سنه واشتغاله باللهو والطرب، وكان وزيره عباس الصنهاجي مستوليًا عليه وكان ولده نصر في غاية الجمال وكان الظافر يأنس به ويلازمه ونزل في الليل إلى داره فقتله. ذكره ابن خلِّكان.
