٩٠٦ - شهاب الدين أبو المحامد إسمعيل بن حامد بن عبد الرحمن الأنصاري الخَزْرَجي الشافعي، المعروف بالشهاب القُوصي (١)، المتوفى بدمشق في ربيع الأول سنة ثلاث وخمسين وستمائة، عن تسع وسبعين سنة. تفقه وسمع ودرس وحدث وخَرّج لنفسه "معجمًا" جمع فيه شعراء زمانه في أربع مجلدات، وكان بصيرًا بالفقه أديبًا أخباريًا، روى عنه الدمياطي وغيره ووقف دار الحديث بدمشق. وكان فصيحًا مفوهًا لكن في "معجمه" غلط كثير، كذا في "حسن المحاضرة" و"عقود الجُمَان" للزركشي.
