٨٨٧ - الإمام عماد الدين إسمعيل بن إبراهيم بن محمد بن علي بن شرف المقدسي الشافعي (١)، المتوفى بها سنة اثنتين وخمسين وثمانمائة، عن سبعين سنة. اشتغل على الشهاب بن الهائم وأخذ عن الجلال البلقيني والولي العراقي وصار إمامًا في الحساب بأنواعه والميقات. [كان] رأسًا في الفرائض، فقيهًا مبرزًا في النحو. أخذ عنه جماعة من الأعيان كابن أبي شريف والبقاعي، وكان عين فقهاء الشافعية بالقدس. صنَّف "شرح البهجة" وسماه "التوضيح" في مجلدين، وله على"ألفية البرماوي" توضيح حسن، وشرح "تهذيب التنبيه" وشرح مصنفات شيخه ابن الهائم واختصر"ألغاز الإسنوي" و"طبقات الشافعية".
