٨١٢ - أرغون بن أبق ابن هلاكو بن تُولي بن جنكيز (٥)، سلطان العراق وخراسان وأذربيجان، المتوفى بنهركر في ربيع الأول سنة تسعين وستمائة، وكانت مدته سبع سنين. وقد تملّك بعد عَمّه أحمد وكان يتدين بعبادة الأصنام والشجر، شديد العباس صنعت له ثلاثة أفراس فوقف عند أولها راجلًا وطفر فركب الثالث ولم يتعلق بشيء منها. ذكره صاحب "المنهل". وكان سفَّاكًا للدماء، عظيم الحرب. ولما هلك اتهمت المغل وزيره سعيد الدولة (٦) اليهودي بقتله،فمالوا على اليهود قتلًا ونهبًا وسبيًا. كذا في "العبر". وملك بعده ولده غازان محمود (١)، ثم ولده الآخر أولجايتو.
