٧٧٧ - الشيخ الأديب أحمد العناياتي الشامي (١)، المتوفى سنة [ألف وأربع عشرة]. ذكره الشهاب في "خبايا الزوايا" وقال: له حسب تليد وباع في المكارم مديد، يحار محاوره حتى يقول هذا شاعر بل ساحر. وهو الآن في جهة (٢) الشام غرة وفي رياضها النضرة زهرة. وقد حلى بحلل الزهد كماله فلم يحتفل بأمر غد ولم هي أمر يوميه نكد أم رغد، عف السريرة طاهر الأثواب، مرسلًا سرح قناعته في خمائل الخمول الرحاب ولم يألف سكنًا ولم يتخذ له سكنًا (٣) فمن رأى من قبل هذا شاعرًا ... ليس له في الناس بيت يعرف انتهى ما لخصته من كلامه.
