٧٧٣ - المولى العالم أحمد، المعروف بكامي الأدرنوي (١)، المتوفى بقسطنطينية في رجب سنة سبع وثمانين وتسعمائة. كان أبوه شيخًا مولويًا، قرأ وصار ملازمًا للمولى قدري المفتي (٢)، ثم درس حسب المعتاد إلى أن صار قاضيًا بادرنة من السليمانية في سنة ٩٧١، ثم بجزيرة قبرس لتحريرها في أثناء الفتح، ثم تقاعد واتصل بالسلطان سليم خان وكان يميل هو إليه واتخذه نديمًا لنفسه، ثم أبعده بعض الحساد، فمات من الغم والحزن. وكان عالمًا شاعرًا منشئًا ترجم كتاب "كيمياء السعادة للغزالي" ولم يتمه وبدأ بـ"تاريخ آل عثمان" وبقي أيضًا ناقصًا، وله شعر لطيف. ذكره ابن النوعي.
