٧٥٩ - الوزير الكاتب أحمد بن يوسف المَنَازي (١)، المتوفى سنة سبع وثلاثين وأربعمائة. كان من فضلاء الوزراء وأماثل الشعراء، استوزره أبو نصر أحمد بن مروان الكُردي وأرسل إلى القسطنطينية مرارًا وجمع كتبًا كثيرة وكان قد اجتمع بأبي العلاء المعرِّي، فشكا أبو العلاء إليه أنه منقطع عن الناس وهم يؤذونه، فقال: ما لهم ذلك وقد تركت لهم الدنيا والآخرة، فقال: الآخرة أيضًا؟ وجعل يكررها، فلم يتكلم إلى أن قام. وديوانه عزيز الوجود. ذكره ابن خلِّكان وغيره.
