٧٤٧ - فخر الزهاد أبو عبد الله أحمد بن يحيى بن الجلّاء البغدادي الأصل الدمشقي المنشأ (٥)، المتوفى سنة [ست وثلاثمائة] (٦). كان في الطبقة الثانية من طبقات المشايخ وقيل اسمه محمد. سكن رملة وأخذ التصوف من أبي تُراب وذي النُّون. وعنه أبو بكر الرَّقِّي وأبو العباس الورَّاق، وكان أبوه يحيى إذا تكلم على قلوب المُؤْمنين جلاّها لذلك لقب بالجلاء.ويقال: إن في الدنيا ثلاثة من أئمة الصوفية لا رابع لهم: أبو عثمان بنيسابور والجنيد ببغداد وابن الجلاّء بالشام، كذا في التواريخ.
