٦٤٥ - الشيخ نجم الدين أبو العباس أحمد بن محمد بن مكِّي بن ياسين القَمُولي الفقيه الشافعي (٢)، المتوفى في رجب سنة سبع وعشرين وسبعمائة عن ثمانين سنة. قرأ على البدر بن جماعة واشتغل بقوص والقاهرة وتولى الحكم بقَمُولا (٣) وإخميم وسيوط ثم الحسبة بمصر ودرَّس بالفخرية وكان من الفقهاء المتورعين، عارفًا بالنحو. صنَّف "البحر المحيط في شرح الوسيط" ولخصه كالروضة وسماه "جواهر البحر" وله "تكملة على التفسير الكبير" للرازي و"شرح الأسماء الحسنى" في مجلد و"شرح كافية ابن الحاجب" مجلدين. وقَمُولا: بلدة من أعمال قوص. ذكره السبكي والسيوطي.
