٦٣٣ - الشيخ الإِمام أبو جعفر أحمد بن محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن محمد القيسي القُرطبي المقرئ النحوي الزاهد، المعروف بابن أبي حُجَّة (١)، المتوفى أسيرًا بمنورقة سنة ثلاث وأربعين وستمائة، عن إحدى وثمانين سنة. كان من كبار العلماء، مقرئًا، نحويًا، محدِّثًا، حافظًا، زاهدًا، أقرأ القرآن والنحو بقرطبة ثم خرج إلى إشبيلية وولي القضاء والخطابة. وألَّف بها "تسديدًا" في النحو و"الجمع بين الصحيحين" وغير ذلك. ثم ركب البحر إلى سبتة فأسر هو وأهله وحمل إلى منورقة ففداه أهله ومكث ثلاثة أيام ومات قبل الوصول إليهم. ذكره السيوطي في "النحاة".
