٥٧٨ - شهاب الدين أبو العباس أحمد بن محمد بن سليمان القاهري الشافعي، المعروف بالزاهد (٢)، المتوفى بها في ربيع الأول سنة تسع عشرة وثمانمائة. أخذ التصوف عن القطب الدمشقي وتفقّه على ابن العماد وتلقن الذكر من الشهاب الدمشقي، وعنه جماعة. صنف "رسالة النور" تشتمل على عقائد وفقه في أربع مجلدات و"هداية المتعلم" (٦٥ / أ- ب) مجلد و"المسائل الستين" و"طلب الزاد ليوم المعاد" و"العدة عند الشدة" وغير ذلك. واشتهر ذكره بالصلاح، أنشأ جامعاً وصار يعظ الناس فيه.
