٥٣٩ - المستنصر بالله أبو العباس أحمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن الحسن بن يوسف العباسي الهاشمي البغدادي (٤)، أول من بويع بالخلافة منهم بمصر، المتوفى بالأنبار في محرم سنة ستين وستمائة وكان محبوساً ببغداد في حبس المستعصم، فأطلقه هلاكو فخرج إلى عرب العراق ووفد على الظاهر بيبرس مع جماعة من بني مهارش في رجب سنة ٦٥٩، فركب السلطان للقائه وكان يوماً مشهوداً، ثم جلس بالإيوان وقرئ نسبه فثبت وبويع بالخلافة وكتب السلطان بأن يُخطب باسمه، ثم جهزه إلى بغداد من دمشق، فخرج قرا بغا مقدم التتار من بغداد. ومات المستنصر قبل أن يلقاه وتفرق أتباعه.
