٤٥٩ - الإمام شهاب الدين أبو العباس أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن محمد بن عبد الدائم التيمي القرشي، المعروف بالنُّوَيري (٤)، المؤرِّخ الكاتب البارع، المتوفى بالقاهرة سنة ثلاث وثلاثين وسبعمائة وهو من أبناء الخمسين.كان فاضلاً من نوادر عصره. كتب البخاري ثمان مرات. وكان يكتب كل يوم ثلاثة كراريس. وقد جمع تاريخاً عظيماً سماه "نهاية الأرب في فنون الأدب" (١) ثلاثين مجلداً وباشر نظر الجيش بطرابلس. ذكره ابن كثير والسيوطي.
