٣٦٢ - الشيخ شهاب الدين أحمد بن الحسين [ابن] العُليف (٣)، شاعر البطحاء وفاضلها. قدم الروم في عصر السلطان بايزيد مع خطيب مكة ونالا منه خيرًا كثيرًا وصنَّف [ابن] العليف باسمه تاريخًا سماه "الدر المنظوم في مناقب السلطان بايزيد ملك الروم" وله قصيدة رائية طنانة في مدحه. ذكره القطب في "الإعلام" وقال في "رحلته": له قصائد طنانة في مدح الشريف بركات وتوفي سنة أربع وعشرين وتسعمائة. انتهى
