٣٥٤ - الشيخ شمس الدين أبو العباس أحمد بن حسين بن أحمد بن أبي المعالي بن منصور بن علي بن الخبَّاز الأربلي ثم الموصلي النحوي الضرير (٣)، المتوفى بها في رجب سنة سبع وثلاثين وستمائة. كان علَّامة زمانه في النحو واللغة والعروض والفرائض وله مصنفات كـ "النهاية" في النحو وشرح "الألفية" (٤) لابن معط وغير ذلك. ذكره السيوطي. ومن تصانيفه "نظم الفريد في نثر التقييد"، "شرح المقدمة الجزولية"، "شرح اللمع" لابن جني، "شرح كتاب الميزان" لابن الأنباري وغير ذلك. ذكره ابن مفلح في بعض مجاميعه.
