٣٤٩ - الناصر لدين الله أبو العباس أحمد بن الحسن بن يوسف بن محمد بن أحمد العباسي البغدادي (٢)، الرابع والثلاثون منهم ببغداد، المتوفى بها في رمضان سنة اثنتين وعشرين وستمائة، عن سبعين سنة إلا نصف سنة، وكانت خلافته سبعًا وأربعين سنة وملك [بعده] ابنه الظاهر بأمر الله محمد وكان أبيض، تركي الوجه، أقنى الأنف، أشقر اللحية، دقيق المحاسن، فيه شهامة وإقدام ودهاء وعقل، بويع بالخلافة بعد أبيه في أول ذي القعدة سنة خمس وسبعين وخمسمائة، فكان أطول العباسيين مدة وكان مستقلًا بالأمور يباشر بنفسه ولم يزل في عزٍّ وجلالة وقمع الأعداء وله حيل لطيفة ومكايد غامضة وكان يتشيع. ذكره المؤرخون.
