٣٢٢ - القاضي شهاب الدين أبو العباس أحمد بن إسمعيل بن خليفة بن عبد العال الدمشقي الشافعي، المعروف بابن الحُسْبَاني (٤)، المتوفى بها في ربيع الآخر سنة خمس عشرة وثمانمائة، عن سبع وستين سنة.كان إمامًا، فقيهًا، أفتى ودرَّس وولي قضاء الشافعية بدمشق مع خطابتها وصنَّف "تفسيرًا" أجاد فيه لو كمل وعلَّق على "الحاوي" في الفقه شرحًا وخرَّج "أحاديث الرافعي" وشرح "ألفية ابن مالك" وناب ثم صار مستقلًا فلم تحمد سيرته كذا في "المنهل".
