١٠٠ - أبو إسحق إبراهيم بن المَهْدي محمد بن أبي جعفر المَنْصُور عبد الله بن محمد السَّفَّاح العَبَّاسي الهَاشِميّ البغدادي (٧)، أخو هارون الرَّشيد.توفي بسُرّ مَنْ رَأَى في رمضان سنة أربع وعشرين ومائتين، عن اثنتين وستين سنة. كان أسود اللون، عظيم الجثة ولهذا قيل له التِّنّين (١)، وكان وافر الفضل غزير الأدب [و] كانت له اليد (١٧ / أ- ب) الطولى في الغناء والضرب بالملاهي وحُسن المنادمة ولم يُرَ في أولاد الخلفاء قبله أفصح منه لساناً ولا أحسن شعراً وبويع بالخلافة ببغداد بعد المائتين والمأمون يومئذ بخراسان وأقام خليفة بها مقدار سنتين ولما قدم المأمون ترك الخلافة إلى أن قتل. ذكره ابن خَلِّكان.
