٣٩ - الإمام أبو مسلم إبراهيم بن عبد الله بن مسلم بن ماعز بن مهاجر الإمام الحافظ أبو مسلم الكَجِّي البصري (٦)، المتوفى ببغداد في محرم سنة اثنتين وتسعين ومائتين ونقل إلى البصرة وقد قارب المائة. سمع من أبي عاصم النبيل والأصمعي وخلق. وروى عنه الطبراني والعَسَّال. وكان عالماً بالحديث متمولاً، قدم بغداد فازدحموا عليه لعلو سنده، فأملى الحديث برحبة غسان وكان في مجلسه سبعة مستملين يبلّغُ كل منهم صاحبه وكتب الناس عنه قياماً،ثم حسب من حضر بمحبرة فبلغ ذلك نيفاً وأربعين ألف محبرة وكان ضريراً مخضوب اللحية، مدحه البحتري ولما فرغ من الإملاء تصدق بعشرة آلاف درهم شكراً لله تعالى. ذكره الذهبي والسيوطي.
