(فت). من بني سهم. بعثه رسول الله ﷺ وأخاه سليطا ومعهما ثالث من أسلم طليعة في آثار المشركين، يريد المنصرفين من أحد في غزوة حمراء الأسد. وخرج البزار أن رسول الله [٤٧٦]ﷺ بعث طليعة يوم الأحزاب سليطا وسفيان بن عوف، وذكر أبو عمر سليطا بن خالد بن عوف (¬٧)، أحد الثلاثة الذينبعثهم رسول الله ﷺ يوم أحد طلائع في آثار المشركين، وانظره مع النعمان بن خلف المتقدم لمحمد بن سعد المنقول عنه هو كاتب الواقدي وتأمله.
