٥٢٧ - القاضي العلامةُ عزُّ الإسلام، محمدُ بنُ إسماعيلَ بنِ أحمدَ، الربعيُّ - رح -. أَلْمَعِيٌّ يَرى بأولِ رأي ... آخرَ الأمرِ من وراءِ المغيبِ لَوْذعِيٌّ له فؤادٌ ذَكِيٌّ ... ما لَه في ذكائه من ضَريبِ لا يروي ولا يقلِّبُ كَفًّا ... وأَكُفُّ الرجالِ في تَقليبِ كان من أعيان العلماء، والجهابذة النبلاء، له إجازة من العلامة عبد الخالق المزجاجي، قرأ عليه من الحديث كثيرًا، منها "سنن الترمذي" من أوله إلى آخره. ولازم السنة، وأخذ في الحديث عن أحمد قاطن، وله كتب ورسائل في علوم عديدة. وبالجملة: فهو حقيق بقول الشاعر: لقدْ حَسُنَتْ بِكَ الأيامُ حَتَّى ... كأنَّكَ في فَمِ الدهرِ ابتسامُ
