٤٩٤ - محمد بن يحيى، المعروفُ ببهران. هو من علماء اليمن الميمون كان يَتَّجر في أوائل عمره، ويطوف البلاد، ومع ذلك يطلب العلم في كل محل، حتى تفرد في رئاسة العلم، وألف تآليف حسنة، ذكرها الشوكاني - رح - في "البدر الطالع"، وقال: منها: "المعتمد"، جمع فيه الأمهات الست، ورتبه على أبواب الفقه، وله "التفسير الكبير"، جمع فيه بين تفسير الزمخشري، وتفسير ابن كثير، مات بصعدة سنة ٩٥٧.
