٤٣٣ - ابن أبي ليلى: هو محمدُ بنُ عبد الرحمن. قال في "الآثار": كان من أصحاب الرأي، وولي قضاء الكوفة، وأقام حاكمًا ثلاثًا وثلاثين سنة، ولي لبني أمية، ثم لبني العباس، وكان فقيهًا مفتيًا، وكانت بينه وبين أبى حنيفة وحشة يسيرة، ومعارضة في الأحكام، صنف في الفرائض، توفي بالكوفة - وهو على القضاء - سنة ١٤٨.
